Well said, when I read these one-trick pony articles I get so angry because these people have never sat in a CISO role let alone 5 or 6 of them. The experience we pick up crosses departments, technologies, business units, etc. plus many of us work with Audit, Legal, assist with M&A - I agree we bring a lot of hard and soft skills to the table and its about time recruiters, boards, and leadership teams see us for the executives we are not some tech expert who sits in their box and knows nothing about business.
